Codemasters is stepping up with F1 22, the latest official Formula 1 experience from veteran racing game developers. Many new features have been introduced such as Pirelli Hot Laps F1 22 supercar challenges and improvements in general. A new era is beginning in Formula 1 and F1 22 will reflect it. If you’re worried about falling behind as a newbie to the series, sports, or racing games in general (or maybe you’re just not that good – neither am I), then you’ll be happy to know the F1 22. it will serve both you and hardcore gamers. How? The new F1 22 Adaptive AI system will play an important role in this.

There are plenty of great options in Formula 1 games when it comes to player support, but F1 22’s new adaptive AI system is arguably one of the biggest we’ve seen in a long time.

Speaking to F1 22 social manager and creator James Braland, senior creative director Lee Mather explained that if you make a mistake, the game’s enhanced offline AI system “will wait for you to some extent”.

“People want to play the game differently, some people want the challenge of competing with the AI and having the ability to handle it,” Mather began. “But for some of our newer players, people who love Drive to Survive or are new to the sport…we’ve added a feature called Adaptive AI.”

“The concept behind the adaptive AI is very much what you’re looking for in the experience. So you want to be part of the war if [players] Don’t fight with other cars, they just drive. Adaptive AI keeps you in battle, racing with other cars.

Formula 1 games have had an AI challenge at scale for a few years now, but it’s almost too easy to fall behind, even when playing offline with competitive-grade AI drivers. Hitting an inside curb and coming back can cost you 10 seconds here, and having to brake in a tight corner, requiring you to pit stop before changing the front wing, can cost you even more. On a few laps you can see a positive delta of 30 seconds or more which is very hard to reverse during a race.

So F1 22’s Adaptive AI system – if you choose to use it – will be invaluable for players who want to retain the fast-paced wheel-to-wheel action that Formula 1 racing provides, even if they have one or multiple skids twice. It also means you won’t risk seeing a blue flag, which is always annoying.

Mather continued his discussion of the new system, confirming that it was “scalable” and “scaled automatically at the start so you can stay in the game”. If you don’t want to take advantage of F1 22’s new Adaptive AI system, there’s no need. That’s the good thing – Codemasters lets you tailor the offline experience to your needs.

F1 22 release date is fast approaching and F1 Manager 2022 release date is not far away. There’s so much Formula 1 to look forward to this summer and we’re looking forward to it.
