It’s been a while since we’ve had a new entry in the classic Thief series of stealth games, though we may get a new one when IP was sold to Embracer Group. Meanwhile, the Gloomwood release date for the so-called Thief with a Gun has been confirmed for this summer.
The PC Gaming Show featured some great games, including a new System Shock remake trailer narrated by Shodan actor Terry Brosius. This wasn’t the only trailer Brosius narrated, as it also brings his talents to the horror game Gloomwood, which is appropriate considering his inspiration from Thief, which Brosius was also a big part of.
More importantly, anyone who wants to try Thief’s successor can do so this summer, either through the demo currently available on Steam or through the Gloomwood Early Access version, which the trailer confirms is happening. August 16th. If you’re a Thief fan desperate for a new game instead of mods, you should check this out.
