You can try Escape from Tarkov Arena

Escape From Tarkov players will be hired as testers for the upcoming Escape From Tarkov Arena spin-off game. Speaking on the Battlestate Games Twitch channel (and summarizing the information on the EFT subreddit), the studio’s COO, Nikita Buyanov, explains this by the chance to try out the game’s first live test later this year. .

Similar to the main Escape From Tarkov game, Arena will feature customizable game modes and challenge players to complete in-game challenges. Although they serve as side quests rather than full quests, they will overlap with the main game and help your character develop.

If you’re already playing Escape From Tarkov, you’ll also be able to use your character, along with any presets and gear you have in your hideout, in the arena. Otherwise, if you’ve never played EFT before and Arena is your first experience of this brutal battle royale, you’ll still be able to play the same games and on the same servers as everyone else.

In PvP mode, the Arena pits two teams against each other in a standard deathmatch. But there is a special feature: if you try to survive by hiding and not participating, the host of the game will be notified. They can then designate an “assassin squad” to hunt you down and “punish” you for your cowardice.

PvE is positioned more as a practice mode where players can test their wave defense skills before heading into battle. Escape From Tarkov bosses, powerful AI enemies that roam the map, will also appear in the PvE Arena mode, though it’s unclear if any new versions will be developed specifically for the game.

Buyanov says that when Arena launches, there will be “five or six” small maps and one or two “medium arenas.” Night maps will also be available, and players will be able to customize their servers and adjust matchmaking options based on a number of different presets.

So if you want to try Arena, keep spending those hours on Escape From Tarkov, you might just get recruited. As for Tarkov’s next patch, Buyanov says he’s “almost done” and will bring several new weapons, including a flare gun to trigger deliveries.
