God of War: should we wait for Ragnarok this year?

So far, everything has been going to the fact that this year we will play at the end of the Scandinavian adventures of Krat and his son. Records in rating agencies and other databases support the insiders’ claim that God of War: Ragnarok will be released earlier, the last time they talked about September. This matched an entry in the PlayStation database. However, it was recently changed to December 31, 2022.

But here comes the cold shower. Spanish Gamereactor learned from several European sources that God of War: Ragnarok for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 will not be published until 2023. The anticipated action-adventure had to be postponed, although Sony has yet to confirm this, and the editors do not name the reasons.

Gamereactor takes a look back at the recent State of Play presentation on partner games and native games for PS VR2. Sony didn’t want to announce it here, but tomorrow’s Summer Game Fest seems perfect, or some sort of summer version of State of Play.

What will PlayStation fans be playing this year? Hope is a remake of The Last of Us, which is reportedly out in September.

If the postponement of God of War: Ragnarok to 2023 is confirmed, it will be a blow. Especially when you consider that the game was announced in September 2020. Gameplay footage followed a year later. But that just happens in the world of video games. In this case, Sony has nowhere to rush, giving developers enough time to improve the experience. It also fixes Microsoft/Bethesda’s recent Starfield postponement.
