A small update was released today for Arma Reforger, a new Early Access game that serves as preparation for the eventual release of Arma 4. In the latest update, Arma Reforger Bohemia Interactive fixed some strange bugs that were appearing in Early Access. to the military simulation game, like the one in which cars serenely fly over the landscape like truck-shaped helicopters.
Weapon Reforger version 0.9.5.66 adds spawn protection, meaning you no longer have to be killed by a sniper as soon as you spawn in a session. Players have also discovered that certain weapons act like impenetrable body armor: they simply deflect incoming fire, giving players using them a significant advantage in a firefight. This is also fixed with this patch.
While researching the Arma Reforger hands-on experience for our sister site Wargamer, I noticed a truck flying high above the ground when my team took over the base. It turns out that this was an ongoing issue and happened when a player driving a vehicle would suddenly interrupt their game session, putting the vehicle into an “undefined state” and likely setting it to a vector that could go over the horizon. This is also fixed with this patch.
Speaking of vehicles, they now “sleep” when left empty to improve performance.
The full patch notes are available on the official site and cover all the fixes and improvements made in the latest patch. One item on the list has us scratching our heads: It says “Tweaked: Restroom Destroyed.” We’re not sure what that means exactly, but we’re guessing that while the bathrooms have fallen apart in the past, they’re better now.
