Capcom has confirmed what was said earlier. The team working on the remake of the four, largely consists of the developers who gave the world a very successful remake of the second part of 2019. On the contrary, the trio, more controversially, was created in the external studio M-Two. . According to earlier information from VGC, at first a remake of the four was supposed to take place in M-Two, but after the failure of the three, Capcom took over the project. Paradoxically, because M-Two allegedly wanted to stick to the originals too much, and Capcom wanted to experiment more.

And this is connected with the second information, which already sounds a bit from the trailer itself. The remake will be darker than the original, as the previous shoots have said again. In an official post on the PlayStation Blog, Capcom writes that they want to achieve the highest quality of Survival Horror, while still retaining the core of the original game. It is announced in advance that in addition to graphics (comparison below) and controls, the plot will also change.

Judging from the trailer, there are some brand new scenes, such as Leon meeting the president or footage of Ashley, which will likely get a lot more space in the remake and possibly a longer gameplay clip. Individual characters also look different, which Ashley is most familiar with. Leon has a slightly different jacket, which, by the way, resembles his jacket from the so-called “RE3.5”, one of the well-known concepts for RE4. It looks like Capcom will try to incorporate ideas into the game that it had to skip in the original for various reasons.

As for Leon as such, after the voice, fans quickly realized that he was again voiced by Nick Apostolides, who gave Kennedy a voice even in a remake of two. The actor has not officially confirmed this, but I think his tweet speaks for itself.

And when will we see more information? Maybe very soon. As pointed out by insider Dusk Golem, the official Japanese Twitter account for the Resident Evil series, the post mentions that this is just a “teaser for a full trailer” to come later. What will he be at Summer Game Fest next Thursday? It’s definitely possible.

Resident Evil 4 Remake will release on March 24, 2023 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
