Street Fighter 6 has been officially unveiled and will launch next year on consoles and PC via Steam. The new dynamic trailer showcases Street Fighter’s new dynamic art style, some of the fighters we’ll see on the roster, amazing open world gameplay, as well as the 2023 release window.
The trailer begins at a Times Square-like intersection in Metro City, a place covered in massive, brightly colored digital billboards. We head to the gym where Luke, a returning character from Street Fighter V, works out with a heavy bag.
The trailer also introduces Chun-Li, Ryu, and Jamie, a new character from the long-running fighting game series. According to the official website, Jamie is an accomplished dancer who has also taken on the role of peacemaker in his Chinatown neighborhood. Interestingly, the trailer also includes several open world gameplay segments where the hooded fighter explores Metro City by climbing ladders and competing in breakdancing competitions.
