When are Pokémon Scarlet and Violet coming out? Pokémon Scarlet and Violet don’t have a confirmed release date yet, but the Nintendo eShop has listed both games for release. end of 2022†
For the past few years, Pokémon games have traditionally been released in November. Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl launched on November 19, 2021, Sword and Shield on November 15, 2019, and Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon on November 17, 2017.
With that in mind, we expect the release date for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet to be mid-November this year.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Platformers
If you’re looking for Scarlet and Violet this year, you must have a Nintendo Switch. This is the only platform the game will be released on and it is unlikely to be moved anywhere else.

So far, we’ve only received a trailer for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, and that’s the announcement you can check out below. There’s not a whole lot of gameplay – there’s a huge live-action section – but it does give you a taste of the world we’ll be exploring when the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet release date rolls around.
The game described here features the game’s lush landscape with steep hills, mountains, and a castle. There seems to be plenty to explore, with lakes, forests and towns all having their share of glory. The artwork is somewhat reminiscent of Arceus, and that’s because Scarlet and Violet are open world titles following in the footsteps of Arceus.
This time, however, you can go beyond the secluded areas of Arceus and into the city that blends “seamlessly” with the wilderness.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet make their debut
We already have details about the early debut of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. These are your default Grass, Fire, and Water types, and choosing one will begin your journey in this open-world game.
Three Pokemon Scarlet and Violet launchers:
Sprigatito is a grass cat Pokémon with the Overgrow ability, Fuecoco is a crocodile-inspired firestarter with the Blaze ability, and Quaxly is a cute water duck with the Torrent ability.
And while all of this has been officially confirmed, there’s been a lot of talk about the evolution of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. A new rumor posted on Twitter by The SV Guy suggests that Sprogatito’s final form is Florarince, Cucapiente from Fuecoco and Cabospada from Quaxly.
They are apparently Grass/Fairy, Fire/Ghost, and Water/Dark types respectively, but we’ll take those rumors with a grain of salt as almost nothing has been leaked about this game so far.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are new Pokemon
You’ll have to catch them all, of course, but like most Pokemon games, Scarlet and Violet will share some of the same creatures from previous games. The trailer has so far featured Pikachu, Meowth, Psyduck, and Lucario, but not many new skins.
Yes, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will have new Pokémon to show off, but aside from the three entries above, we know very little about what’s to come.
