Diablo Immortal’s release date is drawing near. The RPG was originally planned as a mobile game in the venerable Diablo series, but in April Blizzard announced that an open beta for PC would also be released alongside the mobile version.
As Diablo Immortal’s release date approaches, Blizzard has also announced a global release time. Due to the way mobile games are published and available on multi-platform marketplaces, some users may see the app appear earlier starting on the morning of June 1. Most will see it appear sometime on June 2, time zones in Asia and Australia, which would mean June 3.
However, you can now preload Diablo Immortal. On PC, you’ll find it in the Battle.net app. You’ll probably see a splash screen when you launch the app that will take you directly to the Diablo Immortal page, but if for some reason that doesn’t happen, select the Games tab, then find the Diablo Immortal tile and tap the install button.

Some territories in Asia will have to wait a few more weeks to start playing Diablo Immortal. These include Hong Kong, Indonesia, Macau, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand. Players in these regions will be able to play Diablo Immortal beginning June 22 (Pacific Time).
The Diablo Immortal PC beta includes three different control schemes, including a new WASD interface. While microtransactions are available in free mode, Blizzard told us that they don’t “skip the main game” and that the entire game is available for free.
