Death Stranding from Kojima Productions is one of the most controversial games out there. While the story as a whole is highly regarded, this is no longer true of the gameplay. It’s just that opinions vary, but it’s undeniable that the original PS4 exclusivity that has already looked at PC and PS5 is really a success, with over 5 million copies already sold. There have been rumors about Kojima’s next play for a long time, and the Death Stranding sequel has been mentioned most often. But now we seem to have finally confirmed this.
However, a rather strange situation has occurred because the degree has not yet been officially announced since the study itself. Instead, the confirmation came from actor Norman Reedus, who played the title character Sam Porter Bridges in Death Stranding. As such, it is highly likely that this role will be reprized in a sequel. And how was this confirmed? This happened in an interview with Leo Edit magazine. It all started with a relatively innocent statement that first summarizes all the projects around The Walking Dead series:
“Okay, so there’s a book, the final episode is on, then a spin-off, and you’re making a Death Stranding video game.”
And Reedus replied: “We just started two.”
It is not entirely clear at what stage of development the game is at. From his statement, it looks more like he’s taken over motion capture and other Reedus duties, but it’s highly likely that the development itself has been going on for some time. Who knows, maybe we’ll see a full announcement at Summer Game Fest this year. After all, Kojima very often appears at Jeff Keighley events.
