The new part of the Test Drive series called Solar Crown has become one of the most anticipated racing games of this year. According to the original plan, the game was supposed to be released on PC, old and new consoles during September. But this is no longer the case, because the developers through the blog on Steam announced the transfer and change of platforms. The game was postponed to 2023, but the authors did not indicate a more exact date.
At the same time, it was announced that cancellation of originally planned PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions. After all, Drive Unlimited Solar Crown will only target PCs and newer consoles like the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. As the reason for this change, the authors cited the desire to maximize the capabilities of the current generation of consoles and improve the quality of the game itself.
In a blog post, the Kylotonn developers additionally promise that we will publish more information about the content of the game soon. Closed betas should also be added for the foreseeable future, allowing a select group of players to try out the Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown before release.
