Not surprisingly, Techland is slowly thinking about the third part. Chief designer Timon Smektala told VGC about this. In an interview, he thought about what he would do differently if Dying Light 3 happened.
“If we’re working on Dying Light 3, then I’d like to that the protagonist has stronger abilities and skills from the start. For Dying Light 2, we took essentially the same approach as the first one, where the player starts relatively weak and gradually gets stronger. So I think that in the third part – if we do this – the player will start with better basic skills and capabilities, ” Smektala said.
