The war in Ukraine continues, and now the studios there are concerned with much more than developing games. Needless to say, the Frogwares developers have tried to work on at least smaller projects, especially ports of old games to other devices, but this, of course, is not enough. The current situation led to the fact that the studio had financial problems, so another well-known company came to the rescue.
Epic Games has awarded Frogwares a so-called MegaGrant, which is designed to provide financial stability to employees, as well as the necessary equipment and relocation of data infrastructures.
“To put it simply, the Epic MegaGrant will be used to mitigate the financial impact of the war and our self-sufficiency, and we would like to thank Epic Games for their support during these difficult times,” This is stated in the message on Twitter.
“We also want to thank our community for all your kind words of support. We look forward to a safe and peaceful future and look forward to sharing information about our exciting projects with you.”
