Capcom is definitely not giving up on the idea of bringing its successful Resident Evil series to the silver screen. Last summer we received the series Endless Darkness, and at the end of the year, the disastrous film subtitled “Welcome to Raccoon City” scored 4 out of 10. However, there is another announced project that is being created under the wing of Netflix. This is a fictional series that is simply called Resident Evil.
It was from him that we received a new sample today, and a little slowly the second. It features the main characters, led by Albert Wesker and his daughters, who move to New Raccoon City. Wesker develops a new drug called Joy that can cure many diseases but also contains the dangerous T-virus. There is probably no need to add what will happen.
Needless to say, at least at first glance, the series looks really nice, and unlike the film, the authors probably had a pretty decent amount at their disposal. Unfortunately, the creators don’t even try to stick with the games, and the names Wesker, Umbrella, and Raccoon City echo the Resident Evil series. Of course, let’s wait for a bigger conclusion, which is just around the corner.
Pre-premiere Resident Evil is scheduled for July 14 this year.
