wild frost one of the most interesting innovations to come out of today’s Nintendo Indie World: roguelike card game In the style of Slay the Spire, but with a very special and cartoonish graphic characterization shown in a trailer and coming to PC and Nintendo Switch this year.
Developed and published by Deadpan Games ChucklefishThe game is a roguelike RPG dock generator that reminds of the famous Slay the Spire but also seems to have a strong identity of its own thanks to its graphic characterization.
Here’s what the developers reported in the official statement released today on the occasion of Nintendo Indie World:
“Assume the elements in this roguelike card game. Build and customize your deck as you go on your adventure to end the eternal cold. You can also customize and upgrade companion cards and expand the village that serves as a base for your adventures. New gameplay to unlock new items, events and challenges!”
Wildfrost combines random elements in random generation dungeons with the strategy typical of this genre of card games, in the grand quest to save the city of Snowdwell from the eternal winter brought on by Wildfrost.
The combat system takes place on a 3×2 board and allows various units to be deployed in strategic formation. There’s no exact date yet, but Wildfrost will be coming to Nintendo Switch and PC.winter 2022.
