The Japanese company Capcom summed up the results of the financial year ended March 31. The company has once again been successful and posted a higher profit than a year earlier, which is certainly good news for all investors. In addition, Capcom expects growth next year.
In addition, however, we received some interesting information about the games themselves. We learned that Resident Evil Village was already sold by March 31st. 6.1 million copies and thus is the best-selling game in the series, reaching that high in less than a year. The entire series has already sold 125 million copies and is Capcom’s most successful brand. In second place is Monster Hunter, followed by Street Fighter.
The outlook for the next financial period looks very good as Capcom plans to release a record number of games, in particular 45 so-called SKUs (One issue per platform is counted, so of course there are fewer games). Only the expansion for Monster Hunter Rise, which is called Sunrise, has been named, but Capcom also promises a release “A Few Big New Titles”.
Almost certainly, we are waiting for DLC for Resident Evil Village, which will most likely be free, but, unfortunately, we have no new information about it yet. Next-gen updates for Resident Evil 2 (Remake), Resident Evil 3 (Remake) and Resident Evil 7 have also been announced. 2023. The closest one is probably Exoprimal.

So, there are a few more games that we don’t know about yet, but Capcom wants to release them during fiscal year 2023. There are several adherents, there have been rumors about a new Resident Evil for Switch and a remake of the fourth for a long time. part (although it will probably be released later). According to an earlier escape, there should also be a new episode of Ace Attorney or Dragon’s Dogma 2 in preparation. But who knows, for example, Capcom will have a complete surprise for us.
