Upcoming action Gotham Knights by WB Games Montréal is the sequel to the Arkham series in which we try to protect Gotham as Batgirl, Robin, Nightwing or Red Hood while the city is being terrorized by the Owl Tribunal and Batman is dead.

So the idea sounds definitely interesting, and thanks to the fact that there are several playable main characters, the title will be significantly focus on cooperation.

However, while four heroes are offered in the game, it was announced that collaboration would be available for a maximum of two players. But that may no longer be the case.

A keen eye of the internet (and Reddit) has noticed that the game’s official product page on the PlayStation Store currently says about online games up to four players (however, the description still refers to playing alone or with another friend).

Therefore, the question arises whether this is not a mistake or the authors decided to expand the possibilities of cooperation. But it’s also possible that it could refer to another game mode that would support up to four game play (like something in the invasion style we know from the Souls or Deathloop games?).

In any case, we’ll see, maybe we’ll find out the details during the June Summer Game Fest.

Title comes out the 25th of October on the PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.

As a reminder, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will arrive from the DC world next spring.
