In an intense fighting game like PUBG, winning those one-on-one skirmishes can be the difference between a chicken dinner and a broken keyboard. To help you train for these scenarios and also bring a gladiator feel to the game, PUBG 17.2 update will introduce a 1v1 training arena.
In the update, practice mode gains a new practice area with a 1v1 arena where you quickly race against another solo player for the best of three. Each round only lasts 60 seconds and its sole purpose is to eliminate your opponent first. You can enter with whatever weapons and gear you have with you, so it’s perfect for mastering new or recently rebalanced weapons. Or it could just be a big ego boost ahead of competing in the next PUBG Qualifier.
You can also watch from the sidelines if you just want to see brutal 1v1s and don’t want to enter the arena yourself. As with the Call of Duty Warzone Gulag, you can watch the action unfold and even throw apples into the arena, causing confusion.
In addition to the new 1v1 arena, PUBG 17.2 Update It comes with some balancing changes for the MK12 and Mini 14, as well as revisions for the Spotter Scope and Mortar.
A nice quality of life change is that those behind the wheel of vehicles can use certain consumables while driving. These include supplements such as energy drinks and healing agents such as bandages. While not everything is serviceable, PUBG makes the designated driver for your team a little less frustrating.
Oh, and the most important addition of all: giant ducks. Yes, there are huge rubber duckies with military-style helmets swimming in a lake in Sanhok. It’s part of a brand partnership, okay?
