Two-Point CampusTwo Point Studios’ excellent management software coming soon support for modswith a first beta login Although there is no official launch date for this new feature yet, it is expected soon.
The announcement was made by the team in a post directly on the official Two Point County blog, with reference to support for mods coming “very soon” in the upcoming period, but no more definitive reference has been made yet. Mod support for the team’s previous game, Two Point Hospital, was also enabled through the Steam Workshop after the game’s launch.
In this case, mod support should be even more extensive, such that the team made a deal with Mod.io to “allow cross-platform mods. On PC and consoles“, so obviously user-generated content can be created and implemented in the post on both PC and consoles.
Two Point Campus will not go through the Steam Workshop for its mods, but thanks to its partnership with Mod.io it will have a standalone system, which will give access to the feature on both PC and consoles waiting to see how it works.
As reported by the team, a beta period will begin shortly for this additional feature, during which time it will be possible to try it in practice to see how it works. Given the nature of the game, adding mods can significantly extend the playable content and therefore the life of the game.
