In an interview published by Swedish website Privata Affärer, Paradox Interactive CEO Fredrik Wester was asked what the development status is. Vampire: Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, in the press for a while. In a Swedish-to-English translation by PCGamer.com, the CEO stated that the company could “probably set a launch date for this game within a reasonable time”, describing the following: Release in 2023 “absolutely not impossible”.

But a year later, writer Brian Mitsoda and creative director Ka’ai Cluney and senior narrative designer Cara were fired. Ellison is gone, after which the release date is delayed indefinitely.
That version of the game then deleted and the project was almost completely abandoned, but publisher Paradox decided to give him a second chance at life with a new studio. Unfortunately Paradox has yet to say which study it is.
“If you look at the pipeline, we were a little burned out with Bloodlines 2 because we were a little cautious when announcing the news,” Wester told Privata Affärer, citing that the date was announced too early. “We said we wouldn’t release anything until we had enough” sure of an exact launch date or at least a month’s launch,” he added.
Therefore, the lack of news seems not a sign of trouble, but simply a desire not to repeat what happened years ago. When there are certainties, they will emerge: We hope Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 can be resurrected and prove to be a quality game.
