Gamescom 2022: date and time of conferences and main video games already confirmed
The major European video game expo opens its doors to the public in a week. Main details.

Gamescom 2022, the first major video game show to return to face-to-face format after the Covid-19 pandemic, is just one week away from the start. Thousands are expected to attend the Cologne convention center, but there is also anticipation among the public for all the announcements and trailers the event may leave, with special attention paid to Geoff Keighley’s Opening Night Live.
Hogwarts Legacy and The Callisto Protocol will be at Gamescom 2022Gamescom will take place from 2022 24-28 August in the aforementioned German city, but the action will begin the day before, on August 23. A two-hour evening full of surprises and great guests is planned for that day, and just like during the non-E3 2022 in June, there are more streams to follow.

While Geoff Keighley’s Opening Night Live is the highlight of the show, there are other broadcasts scheduled for this festive week:
- Opening Night Live — 23 August 20:00 (Spanish peninsula time). Two hours of presentation, ‘world premieres’, announcements and The Callisto Protocol, Sonic Frontiers etc., conducted live by Geoff Keighley from Cologne. news about the works. Up to 30 versions are guaranteed to exist.
- Future Games Show – August 24 at 20:00 (Spanish peninsula time). A full day later, a new Future Games Show will take place, the name of which may sound familiar to you outside of E3. It will feature trailers, interviews and other news about 50 games from companies like Team17, 505 Games, Prime Matter and Ravenscourt.
- Xbox Booth @ gamescom Live Stream — August 25, 2pm – 8pm PT. This is not a “conference”, but a long live interview session where you can learn about news from various Xbox Game Studios (Mojang, Obsidian) and external Microsoft partners (Asobo).

While it will be unconfirmed games who will get the most attention, that doesn’t mean we have a huge roster of games announcing their participation at Gamescom 2022. Doing so is not a guarantee of leaving. news of new trailers or any weight, but its presence makes it clear that it is no small fair with launches by companies like this.
