At the end of last May, a mysterious game codenamed “Oregon” appeared on SteamDB. In the update history there are some pretty obvious references to the Housemarque title, for example: “Atropos”, the planet where Returnal takes place, and the “Tower of Sisyphus” or Tower of Sisyphus, which was introduced in a free update a few months ago. The presence of tags such as “Sci-Fi”, “Rogue-like”, “Shooter”, “Female Protagonist” and “Third Person” only reinforces this theory.
As Twisted Voxel reported, “Oregon” received a new update yesterday, added support for the Steam Controller as you can see in the image below, and Steam Deck touch controlstherefore suggesting that the port will be optimized to run on Valve’s console-PC.
The announcement of the PC version of Returnal may now be just around the corner, given that localization in several languages of Achievments has been added recently, including Italian. We just have to wait for possible news from Sony.
Meanwhile, Housemarque is working on a new IP for PS5, which the developers say will be a weirder game than Returnal.
