Looks like the latest system update PS5 introduced the gods problems with VRRthis may lead to phenomena in some screens and some situations shivering or even burning.
As reported, PS5 update 22.01-05.50.00.08 adds new features related to low latency ALLM mode to the console, but it also affects the performance of the console. variable refresh ratewhich actually has some disadvantages.
According to testimonies, these issues also appear to occur when used on the new Sony INZONE M9 monitor (see here), so it’s a fully compatible certified device. PlayStation 5.
The discomfort appears to be reproducible by running Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered or Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and using the Graphics Quality or Performance RT mods and then playing for a few minutes.
Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be any solution at the moment, although the problem does not always manifest itself on all screens. But let’s assume that Sony will prepare a fix to fix this problem immediately.
