As the article states, “With VRR enabled, it’s the monitor that waits for the GPU to pick up the new frame and then plays it. This way the GPU runs at its maximum performance with no waiting or limitation.”
“The monitor no longer receives frames based on the time period according to the set frequency, but adapts to those of the incoming frames. This way, the images are much smoother and artifacts are removed.”
VRR support is available in: PlayStation 5 With the April update.
