DioField Chronicle is a turn-based strategy RPG with a fantasy setting. It has a similar combat setting to Final Fantasy Tactics in some ways, but there are some variations that make it significantly different.
The official statement from The DioField Chronicle reads: “A new strategic RPG that tells an epic tale of war and honor. The game is set in a unique world that mixes fantasy with medieval and modern time elements and features an innovative and extremely deep real-time combat system. Combat in this game depends on a real-time assessment of the conditions of the battlefield, so you can issue orders that use your troops’ strengths and your enemies’ weaknesses. Make use of various skills, classes and equipment to complete your mission. Command your armies in detailed representations of DioField’s island environments with unique diorama-like graphics.“
