DICE via EA’s official support pages, Danger Zone mode from battlefield 2042one of the three columns of sniper content, won’t get any more contentwith developers who decided to focus their strength on mods preferred by players.
As DICE explains, the mod will remain active and usable in the future, but will not receive any other content, practically left to itself. Additionally, not all maps that will be introduced in future updates will support Hazard Zone.
“We’re turning off future development in Hazard Zone. All of us on the team had high ambitions and hopes for this new Battlefield experience during development, but we are the first to raise our hands and acknowledge that it has found its place in Battlefield 2042 and will benefit greatly from focusing our efforts. energies in the modes where we see more involvement” reads the DICE post.
“Hazard Zone will remain a part of the experience, we won’t disable it, but we are no longer developing new experiences or content for the mod and the maps we will release throughout, in addition to addressing critical bugs and issues that may arise in the future. seasons will not support Hazard Zone“.
On the other hand, DICE has big plans to support Battlefield 2042 for a long time. The important patch 4.1 arrived a few days ago and Season 1 will kick off in June.
