Pirate Adventure Ubisoft Singapore, which has been in development for several years from Skull & Bones closed multiplayer test gameplay, has been leaked online.
About four minutes of footage emerged in the subreddit for games to leak early Friday morning. They show the first few minutes of the game, including a cinematic intro and guide, and were likely taken from a multiplayer test run by Ubisoft Insider last month.
The video covers the central island of St. Anne, where players can upgrade a ship, buy supplies, choose quests (called contracts), and change characters. Progress is measured by Infamy, which players receive primarily through contracts, which can lead to bigger and more powerful sailboats.
Players must supply their ships with supplies and ammunition before each voyage, while cruising at sea must maintain their crew’s morale. If morale drops too low, the crew will rebel and send their infamy back to St. He will spit on the player, hitting Anne and some of the stock they had during the uprising. They can return to the riot site to rebuild the rest, but other players can defeat them there and loot supplies for themselves.
The game also features a crafting system that powers ships, weapons, and furniture. This provides many in-game bonuses such as high HP HP, stronger attacks, and faster navigation. These bonuses can be used to attack NPC merchant ships and individuals or other players. Sinking an enemy ship will reward part of its charge, but sinking is the only way to ensure a full heist.
The other islands, called the Outposts, are St. It offers some of Anne’s perks like cooking, storing goods, and buying from vendors. There are also castles and settlements to plunder, and world events where legions of players face major challenges, such as massive merchant fleets.
As naval combat seems to predominate in the tutorial, hand-to-hand combat is only shown for a very short time.
Skull & Bones first appeared in 2017, but Ubisoft delayed the game several times. Last July, it had been in development for eight years. The game is not out yet.
