EA SPORTS F1 22: The Next Generation Begins Here
“We look forward to welcoming the fans into the new era of Formula One,” said Lee Mather, F1 Senior Creative Director at Codemasters. “Along with the actual changes, we updated the physics to match the new aerodynamic rules and reworked the tire model to make the steering more realistic. With new and updated tracks, adaptive AI, F1 Life and enhanced gameplay options, there has never been a better time to live the life of an F1 driver.”
Race Day Reset allows players to customize their settings with new immersion and broadcast options that affect warm-up laps, safety car periods and pit stops. Select “Immersive” for the best risk reward, which can be the difference between a podium spot and a spot out of the podium. The TV BROADCAST option takes the pressure off a bit, bringing to life incredibly authentic scenes that keep players in close proximity to the action. For a fully immersive experience in F1, new virtual reality features for PC via Oculus Rift and HTC Vive let you experience all the drama happening in the cockpit.
Aimed at beginners and casual fans alike, the new adaptive AI also coaches players and less experienced players throughout each race with an opposing AI that always adapts to different skill levels. Also returning are more accessible menus and a steering system so that any enthusiast can quickly get down to business without having to understand the intricacies of the sport. The updated free training program offers even more variety with new scoring systems and on-track views. This will help players get through every turn to perfection before vying for all the important championship points.
In addition, F1 22 introduces improvements to older features, including My Team, which allows players to choose their starting budget based on three entry points: Rookie, Challenger, and Fugitive. The game features real track updates for Australia, Spain and Abu Dhabi reflecting all the latest changes. F1 22 also returns with the critically acclaimed career mode of the decade, complete with a two-player or female option, and multiplayer that returns with epic battles against the global racing community.
