In the end, April will be a slightly quieter month in terms of big AAA games. However, that doesn’t mean there won’t be many interesting games released. The promising isometric RPG Broken Roads will be released in the second week of April. The game from Drop Bear Bytes takes players to a post-apocalyptic Australia. The developers do not hide their inspiration, especially from the original Fallout series. In addition to exploring the world, players can expect traditional turn-based combat, a large number of dialogues and the presence of choice options that, according to the authors, should affect the direction of the story and the fate of individual characters.

Studio Moon has established itself in the memory of gamers with the two-part Ori series, the creation of which was supported by Microsoft as a publisher. However, under its new name, this Austrian team is trying its luck with a completely new brand and genre. The game, called No Rest for the Wicked, belongs to the popular genre of adventure games with a touch of soul games. Thus, in addition to the isometric view used, the battles with a diverse range of enemies will play primly.

The developers are also attracted by the detailed fantasy world and the availability of online cooperation for up to three players. The game will enter the Steam Early Access program in April, where it should gradually expand with new levels and features.

Long live Slovakia

The developers from the independent Slovak studio Team Vvat will release their ambitious project called Vvat Slovakia in the middle of the month. This is a city event in the style of the Grand Theft Auto series, which takes players to Bratislava in the 90s of the last century. The authors want to offer 20 story missions and a full-fledged open world of about 10 km². There will also be more than 30 vintage cars, several types of weapons and Slovak voice acting. Even in this case, the developers chose the path of early access on Steam.

The strategy game Manor Lords managed to attract the attention of a considerable number of players even before its release. This is evidenced by the figures from Steam, where it has long been among the games that most players have added to their wishlist. The game impresses with a realistic medieval setting, detailed graphics, large-scale tactical battles and an emphasis on carefully thought-out construction of your own city. In addition to these elements, you will also have to worry about the economy and the satisfaction of your subjects.

A traditional AAA title will also be published by Bandai Namco at the end of the month. Specifically, it will be the role-playing game Sand Land, based on the Japanese manga by Japanese author Akira Toriyama. As the game progresses, you will gradually uncover the secrets of this world, fight enemies, and gradually improve the main character. In addition to these aspects, the authors also pay great attention to various equipment in the form of tanks or mechs, which can be modified and improved.

PlayStation gamers won’t have to think long about the event of the month. The exclusive Stellar Blade from South Korean developer Shift Up will be aimed at the current generation of Sony’s console. Fans of sci-fi, dynamic combat and tense boss battles should find their way.


TopSpin 2K25

Publisher 2K Games has decided to revive the TopSpin tennis series after thirteen long years. At the same time, it turned to the Czech branches of the Hangar 13 studio (formerly 2K Czech), which also created the old parts of the series. The authors involve more than 25 licensed male and female tennis players, as well as the presence of real tournaments and clothing brands. At the same time, Prim should emphasize the trustworthy attitude to tennis. In addition to single-player modes, the new part also boasts a multiplayer mode. It is also worth noting the presence of Czech localization in the form of subtitles.


Sea of ​​Thieves

In April, two previous Xbox exclusives will be coming to other consoles, following previously released games Pentiment and Hi-Fi Rush. Developers from the Rare studio continue to supply their game with new content, thanks to which Sea of ​​Thieves Thieves has quite a large army of fans even after all these years.

Let’s see how the game performs on PlayStation 5. Before Sea of ​​Thieves, another Microsoft exclusive is coming to PlayStation and Nintendo Switch in the form of Obsidian Entertainment’s critically acclaimed survival game Grounded.
