Weird West: First sales figures announced

Launched on March 31, 2022, Strange West has already collected 400,000 players. The announcement came from software house WolfEye Studios, which made it, and was clearly pleased with the outcome. We’re talking about player count because it’s available on Xbox Game Pass for PC and consoles from launch, so counting actual sales would be pretty complicated, at least for those unfamiliar with the data.

A few days ago, patch 1.01 was released which improved the UI, added save slots on PC and fixed a few bugs. Also, the first community event called Plague, which we told you about earlier, was released yesterday. The roadmap for the next few months is pretty intense: a content pack will follow after the Plague event, followed by the “Impossible Mode” followed by the Caged Ones event. Finally, support for mods will be added with the promise that more content will be released at a later stage.

For now, there are no details about the upcoming content. Read our Weird West review for more on the game, which is available for PC, Xbox One and PS4 but also playable on PS5 and Xbox Series X and S with backward compatibility.
