W7M Esports became the champion of the women’s Rainbow Six Siege tournament after defeating the Black Dragons 3×1 team this Sunday (3) in a tense best-of-five map (MD5) contest. Both teams are involved in one of the biggest current rivalries on the Brazilian gaming scene and regularly face each other in sporting finals.
Like today’s matchup on Sunday, clashes between organizations are usually filled with provocations before and after matches, which increases the public’s expectations of these clashes.
This Sunday’s Women’s Tournament decision began on the Café map, chosen by the Black Dragons. The match started off tough, but after a tactical break early in the game, W7M quickly dominated. Veteran player Tainara “Tayi” stood out, leading W7M on this first map, which ended with an impressive 7×2 score.

The battle was moved to the Fronteira map chosen by the champions and had a scenario similar to the original. Once again, the decisive moment was the team’s quick tactical lead, and W7M closed the map with a solid score of 7×3 – Fernanda “Nandraka” and captain Gabriela “GaB” shone in their performances.
The Black Dragons’ map of choice, Banco, started out full of provocations, highlighting BD’s attempt to regain psychological control of the game. Big rounds from star Julia “juu”, including a clutch 1×4, led the BD team to the opening 5×2. W7M managed to draw, but Black Dragons managed to close the third map with a score of 7×5 without the need for extra time.
The denouement occurred on the map “Skyscraper”, the second choice of W7M. The Black Dragons began to dominate there and soon reached 2-0 on the scoreboard. However, the game went into closely fought extra time and W7M emerged victorious by 8×6 thanks to Carol’s spectacular performance, who was crowned the final’s MVP.
The two teams have not played a head-to-head match since both teams met in the Brava Cup finals in August this year, which was also won by W7M Esports. The victory in the women’s tournament further highlights the organization’s growth in a scenario that was recently dominated by its opponents.
The next challenge for both organizations will be the Rush Series qualifiers, which begin this December. The post-season tournament promises to further enhance competitiveness on the national stage and will be the last official tournament before the highly anticipated 2024 Six Invitational, which will take place in Sao Paulo in February 2024.
