Wondering how to fish in Core Keeper? Here’s what you need to know.
What is this? A new crafting game in an underground cave? Register! Core Keeper is a mining exercise game from Pugstorm and Fireshine Games. Like Terraria, Stardew Valley, and Minecraft, players will also experience how they build bases, gather resources, and battle monsters to survive deep in the underworld.
The game is currently in early access mode, but that doesn’t mean it’s not packed to the brim. Players new to Core Keeper may wonder how certain game mechanics work, such as fishing.

To unlock fishing skills in Core Keeper, players must first go through a few prerequisites. To start, you need to hone your crafting skills up to Tin Crafting level, which you can get by crafting a Tin Workbench.
To craft a tin bench, you will need a piece of wood, six strips of copper, and 15 strips of tin.
Set up and place your pewter table to reveal the possibility of pewter fishing. This requires five pieces of wood and four strips of tin.
So you make your fishing rod out of pewter. Now is the time to use it. Fishing in Core Keeper works like any other crafting/simulation game. Go to the body of water and click the right mouse button to insert the rod there.
When the line starts to slide, press the right mouse button again. Then you will enter a small mini-game where you have to drag the fish so as not to miss or break the fishing rod. Use the right mouse button to move the fish slowly.
It may be difficult at first, but it will get easier as your fishing skills improve. Keep going and you’ll soon master it.
