AMC Games and Fictiorama Studios announced today that their next game, Fairy tale machine of fear , has unveiled its first public gameplay demo on Steam as part of the London Gaming Festival. A new narrative-driven strategy game has been officially named the winner of the Festival’s Narrative Excellence Award. Download new demo Fairy tale machine of fear until April 15th.
The Fabulous Fear Machine is the latest game from the creators of the 2018 cult hit Don’t Feed the Monkeys. The Fabulous Fear Machine is a single-player real-time strategy game in the style of retro horror comics, in which the player takes on the role of a newly created “Machine Master”. To pursue their goals, players must create and spread fear by carefully cultivating various legends – those creepy stories, urban myths and conspiracy theories that lurk in the dark corners of the mind.
The gameplay demo includes several new game mechanics, as well as a tutorial and preview of the game’s first major story. Players will learn how the DM chooses his targets for the region and strategically places his agents. The demo also explains how Legends work and how to develop them to increase their power. Finally, it introduces the game’s first “Rival”, an NPC with the ability to greatly influence the game’s narrative and strategy elements.
This is the third game from AMC Games to partner with AMC Networks’ premium horror streaming service Shudder on the project. The initial development of The Fabulous Fear Machine was supported by Red.es and FEDER (European Regional Development Fund).
