New Mortal Kombat 1 launch trailer reveals Shang Tsung and Reiko gameplay

The trailer puts the wily sorcerer’s moves on full display, including his projectiles, devastating combos, and signature ability to transform into rival fighters. The trailer also shows the gameplay of General Shao’s right-hand man. Reikoa savage warrior with a fighting style to match his brutal personality, as well as bloody moments from the other fighters in the main cast.

In addition, Mortal Kombat 1 will include an extensive set of accessibility features for players, including audio descriptions and on-screen prompts that play contextually during gameplay. Mortal Kombat 1 will be available from September 14th in Early Access for the Premium Edition and September 19th for the Standard Edition. All pre-orders will receive Shang Tsung as a playable character in the game.

Mortal Kombat 1 is the latest entry in the iconic Mortal Kombat video game franchise, developed by the award-winning NetherRealm Studios, featuring a revived universe and a new story featuring iconic heroes and villains like never before. The game features a wide cast of legendary fighters with completely new stories: Liu Kang, Scorpio, Sub-Zero, Raiden, Kung Lao, Kitana, Mileena, Shang Tsung, Johnny Cage, Kenshi, Smoke, Rain, Li Mei, Tanya, Baraka, Geras , Reptile, Ashra, Havik, General Shao, Sindel, Nitara and others, as well as an additional cast of partner fighters who can help during matches.

Playable characters Quan Chi, Ermac and Takeda, as well as guest fighters Peacemaker, Omni-Man and Homelander, will be available in the post-launch downloadable content (DLC) Kombat Pack, which is now available for pre-order as part of the Mortal Kombat 1 Premium Edition.

Following in the tradition of previous releases featuring exclusive skins for Brazilian stores that pay tribute to various aspects of the country’s culture, Mortal Kombat 1 will feature an exclusive skin for Brazilian players, this release featuring the “Funkeira” skin for the character Tanya. To access the skin, Brazilian players must purchase Mortal Kombat 1 directly from the official Brazilian PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Steam, Nuuvem, Nintendo eShop and Epic Games Store.

Mortal Kombat 1 is slated to release on PlayStation 5. Xbox Series PS5, officially distributed in Brazil (with Brazilian-rated cover), will feature Shang Tsung as a playable character.
