Publisher and developer MY.GAMES (website) today announced the start of the first round of open beta testing for HAWKED with cross-play following a successful round of open beta testing on PC. From August 31 to September 4, HAWKED will be available to play on PlayStation 4 and 5, as well as on PC via Steam and MGlauncher.
The open beta with cross-platform play marks the next step in HAWKED’s development journey as the game nears full release. As with the previous Open Beta, all players can participate in the free Renegade Pass, which will unlock exclusive cosmetics for the game at launch.
Please note that the game in its current form does not allow for cross-platform progression. The progress of the previous Renegade Pass Beta has not been reset, and a Renegade Pass Progress Boost is available for this Beta, giving all players an additional opportunity to obtain exclusive items.

Andy Duthy, Executive Producer of HAWKED, spoke about the game’s progress so far:
“The feedback from the first open beta has been incredibly helpful to us and helps us shape the product. This open cross-play test is another step in that process. We’re also very curious to see how PlayStation players get the game, and taking all player feedback into HAWKED into account is a key part of our development process.”
HAWKED is an extraction game where teams of three players compete to collect and extract artifacts from a remote island called X-Isle. Players (also known as Forsaken) compete against each other to save and retrieve Artifacts, which can only be achieved by fighting monsters, other players, solving puzzles, and avoiding traps.
The team that successfully retrieves the Artifacts from the island first wins the match. To keep each match rewarding, players can also mine smaller treasures and leave the island (dead or alive) with useful currency that they can spend on upgrading their characters.

HAWKED offers deep character customization. With a wide variety of clothing, hairstyles, and colors to visually customize their characters, players can mix and match artifacts, gear, and power-ups to create their perfect Treasure Hunter to suit their playstyle.
Artifacts can be equipped as soon as they are found on the island. They offer passive bonuses, such as the ability to turn into a bush when crouched, or offer a sixth sense to detect nearby enemies. There are currently 21 types of Artifacts in HAWKED. Players can match three items at once, and all artifacts can be found and upgraded to different levels of rarity.
Players can pair them with 14 types of equipment such as boomerangs, deployable shelters, scout hawks, and more, offering a wide variety of customization options and playstyles. Equipment and artifacts are upgraded with coins earned by selling and/or dismantling treasures in Riftwake, the game’s social space. From stealth killers to team support, in HAWKED players can bring their perfect rogue to the island.

Players will have to explore the Isle of X, a newly discovered treasure chest filled with loot. However, the vile, scaly Apostles have also taken over the island and will not give up their conquest so easily. X-Isle is a huge dynamic map, and each session challenges players to compete in different parts of the island. Its treasures and artifacts are hidden in mined temples and ruins everywhere.
Players will also have to use their wits to solve puzzles, open doors and discover important treasures. Matches will feature dynamic events, such as the appearance of a huge Apprentice carrying treasure on his back. This boss must be defeated in order to get Artifacts. Over time, X-Isle will evolve with updates, limited-time events, and seasonal releases.
