What’s New in Black Desert Online: Roadmap Reveals What’s Coming in Updates

This past weekend, during the Black Desert FESTA event, Pearl Abyss announced their plans for the next Black Desert releases. The company has unveiled an all-new 600-player PVP, Me-Gu’s Awakening, the Boss Blitz update, the new Legendary Doom mount, and more.

Black Desert FESTA was held in Suwon City, South Korea, and more than 400 adventurers took part in it. Attractions included performances by musician Song So Hee and audio team Pearl Abyss, who performed inspirational songs from the acclaimed Land of Dawn expansion.

All proceeds from the event will be used to purchase gifts for the Good Home Nursery in Anyang, South Korea.

NEW PVP CONTENT: WAR OF THE ROSES

The War of the Roses is a new War of Conquest on an unprecedented scale, going beyond just new rules and regions. Players will be able to participate in massive 300v300 battles every two weeks on the tactical map, where they can strategize and engage in real-time confrontation with their allies.

Unlike the existing Knots and Conquest modes, you won’t need to build strongholds or other fortifications before the battle, allowing you to focus on combat and strategy. In addition, all adventurers will be able to participate in the confrontation without any equipment restrictions. More details about this exciting PVP mode will be revealed soon.

NEW BOSS: YI-MU-GI

Get ready to take on Yi-Mu-Gi, the latest boss to arrive at the Dark Sanctuary in the Land of Dawn. New and experienced players alike will be able to jump straight into the new region and take on this terrifying snake and other bosses inspired by Korean folklore. Unlike other bosses in the Land of Dawn, the encounter with Yi-Mu-Gi will require players to dodge his attacks by focusing on the altar in the center of the area. Alongside this update, players can look forward to the Dark Shrine (Boss Blitz) update, which will grant global bonuses to all adventurers when one defeats the bosses on the hardest level, Calamity 7.

ARENA SUNNY SEASON 3

Solare’s new season of PVP 3v3 Arena returns to Black Desert Online, now set in the Land of Dawn. Players will be able to join the fight in various locations such as the Maewa Tree Road and the reed fields of the Go-Wun Plateau. More information about the new season will be available soon.

WAKE ME-GU

The long-awaited release of “Me-Gu Awakening” comes out today, shortly after Woo-Sa’s debut. In her awakened form, Me-Gu will use her sister’s deadly fans to attack enemies with multiple attacks.

DREAMY DOOM

Dreamy Doom is a reimagining that takes its predecessor’s “Hell Horse” concept and takes it to the next level with a dazzling mane and flaming blue horns. Players will be able to fast travel around the world of Black Desert with the following abilities:

• shadows of hell: Players can summon two additional Dooms, each of which can hold two more people, for a total of six people. Using this skill while it is on cooldown grants up to 10 nearby guild or party members a +5% movement speed bonus for 60 seconds.
• hell race: Dreaming Doom gains a speed boost, becoming the fastest ground vehicle in Black Desert Online.
• infernal legion: Mythical Doom burns enemies with its blue flames.

Finally, all adventurers can become the owners of the Dreaming Steed. During the event, the secret of the Viepico Wooden Horse item, which was given to all adventurers, was revealed. Starting today, you can purchase and use Horse Horn Vipiko to magically transform a wooden horse into one of the legendary horses. Those who have not yet collected the item will be able to find it in the Challenges tab until July 26th.

NEW ITEM: DEHKIA’S LANTERN

This July, the Lantern of Dehkia is a new item in the Black Desert world that will awaken monsters in certain regions such as the Gray Forest and Olun Falls. After awakening, the monsters will become stronger and more dangerous thanks to new attacks and better rewards. Monsters in the Lantern of Dehkia’s area of ​​effect immediately respawn upon defeating them, giving players a new way to deal with these regions.

NEW REGION: TERRA NOBRE AND ULU KITA

This new region is located south of Mediah and is full of secrets and dangers to be discovered. There will be four monster zones, two of which have been revealed: City of the Dead and Ruins of Tungrad. As for the new high difficulty areas, players will need to have gear level 700 or higher in order to defeat monsters and earn rewards such as Origin of Dark Devouring, a unique item that will allow players to craft enhanced stacks.

In addition, parts of a new treasure called the Lafie Bedmountain Upgraded Telescope can be obtained in the new region. This item can transport the user along with their guildmates or party members.

The release of Ulu Kita is scheduled for August.

SUMMER EVENT, MARINE PALACE

The annual Black Desert Online summer event will receive special coverage based on Korean folklore and will return on July 26th. This year, adventure seekers are invited to explore the seabed full of fun games. Players will be able to take on the role of the mystical Rabbits or Turtles. The rabbits must escape from the palace and the turtles must hunt them. The winners will be able to receive very interesting rewards.
