I know what you’re thinking titan fall 3 it will never happen, and that makes you and me very sad. A sequel to what I consider to be the best single player FPS campaign ever devised doesn’t seem to be on the horizon at Respawn, but what does a band reunion for another album look like? It’s not a sequel to Titanfall 2, but it’s still pretty good, right?

Honestly, I understand if you’re nervous. We hear about Titanfall every few months and all hope seems to fade very quickly. First it was Titanfall 3, then it was an Apex Legends/Titanfall game called Titanfall Legends that was supposed to bring back everyone’s favorite BT mecha. We now have the talent behind Titanfall and he is working on a new Respawn IP.

You heard right, according to Respawn CEO Vince Zampella, a new IP from someone who plays a key role in the development of Titanfall is on the way. So that’s at least something.

Zampella has already dashed hopes for Titanfall 3, saying, “It must be true. It is a franchise that is very loved by the fans and also by us. If it’s not the right time, the right idea, then it doesn’t make sense”, but that’s something else.

According to Zampella, Titanfall and Titanfall 2 director Steve Fukuda, who has also worked on numerous Call of Duty games, runs a “very small” “Skunkworks team” at the studio, where “the mission is to enjoy something new, via Axios.

“New” in this case can mean absolutely anythingSo I wouldn’t pin my hopes on you for Titanfall 3, but the pedigree is definitely there. In this case, skunkworks means Fukuda uses a small team to experiment until he finds a hook, for Titanfall it was parkour and robots, but for this game the possibilities are endless.

You may have already missed the moment when Titanfall 2 cost like coffee on Steam, so make sure you keep an eye out for the shooter’s re-release date so that you have every reason to get back to the main job.
