What is the Desolate Star Wars Jedi Survivor Settlement puzzle?
Star Wars Jedi Survivor Deeastated Settlement is actually a series of puzzles. You will find this mystery on Kobo when you return there to explore Tanalorr.
A Star Wars Jedi Survivor puzzle on a devastated colony: Part 1
Climb to the highest point of the Bleak Settlement Meditation Point platform where the puzzle begins. You’ll see a spherical sleeve and several rock formations blocking thermal vents in the distance.
Unfortunately, the connectors are useless without the orbs, so you have to turn around and enter the temple, killing the bad guy guarding it. You will see a spinning object that you can spin with Force abilities that move the ball and the ball grab from a distance. You will also see a box that you can move to the top of the platform. Looking towards the room with the moving sphere connector, you’ll notice another one on the platform to your left. The puzzle steps are as follows.
- Pull the block down and place it next to the deck with the ball clutch but without the ball. This will give you the boost you need to complete part of this puzzle.
- Pick up the orb in the orb connector and move it to the orb connector that doesn’t have the orb on the side wall.
- Use the box to jump on the platform, pull the ball to the other side and move it towards the outer ball clutch.
- Use the laser to clear the first hole of Kobo’s invading matter.
- Use the glider and the thermal elevator to take you to the platform ahead and to the right.
Bleak Settlement Puzzle Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Part 2
Defeat the enemies on the platform and in the wreckage to continue. The platform will drop you off where you must fight two gorokko before moving on (you can use your confusion ability to make one fight the other).
You’ll use the Force to punch a hole in the wall, then pick up the orb from the orb connector and shoot a laser across the room to place it on the connector you just opened in the wall. This will open a secret door.
When you enter this room, look to your right and open the BD-1 upgrade called the Koboh Grinder. This allows traces of Kobo’s matter to be created from the lasers, causing the Kobo masses to disintegrate.
Use this ability to create a path of matter from Kobo from the end point of the laser across the room to the mass to his right, opening a jump wall. Use the jump wall to get out of the room and do the following:
- Move the orb you used to open the Koboh Grinder room to the orb where you first found it.
- Use the Kobo grinder to remove the mass to the right of the end point of the laser.
- Use your grappling hook to climb onto the platform.
- Pick up the ball from its current position and move it to the clutch over the wall running in front of you.
- Run up the wall.
- Pick up the ball and bring it to the outer sleeve.
- Use the beam to clear the second vent.
- Use the glider and the vent to get to the next platform, ahead and to the right.
Bleak Settlement Puzzle Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Part 3
Once you reach the last platform, fight the enemies and slide down the crack in the wall to your left, encountering another Bedlam Raider as you enter. In this room, it’s easy to miss another moving block along the wall, which will be essential in solving this puzzle. This room also contains an empty Orb Clutch and a Kobo Materia Band-Aid that blocks the outside entrance.
In the room at the end of the area, you’ll notice a sphere that causes the room’s vertical door to close when you disengage it. From there, the steps are as follows.
- Move the block on the wall below the door that closes every time you move the orb. This will cause it to stay open when you move the orb out of the room.
- Take the orb and move it to the clutch in the room where you found the block.
- You won’t be able to use the Koboh grinder to create a path from the end of the laser in the first area directly to the mass blocking the wall due to the waterfall in front of it. So instead, use the Kobo Crusher at the end point of the laser to create a path through the crack in the wall so you can crush the mass on the other side.
- Then pull the ball towards the comb connector and guide it to open the last vent.
- Go across with the glider and give yourself a pat on the back after entering the Great Courtyard.
