According to recent leaks, the Genshin Impact 3.7 update will add a quick device swapping feature. If you’ve been playing an anime game for a long time, you’ve surely realized that switching devices is a hassle for no real reason. With this update, you no longer need to open your bag to switch from a Seelie pet to an NRE just because an unexpected battle has started.
Currently, if you want to change devices, you have to open the inventory menu, scroll to the devices tab, then select the one you want, replacing the one already in use. Sure, the whole process only takes a few seconds at most, but that can be a bit of a pain when you want to have a cute companion and a useful item to wear.
The leak shows us a screenshot of a type of device wheel that will allow players to quickly switch between four different devices when out and about, which is nice to see. This feature is in high demand for a reason.
Personally, I haven’t deactivated the Boon of the Elder Tree device since I got it on Sumeru. This allows you to harvest wood from trees automatically without hitting them over and over like you’re playing Minecraft or Fortnite, basically another time saver.
On top of that, we also have an NRE gadget that allows you to eat while in combat, perfect for teams that need emergency healing. Both of these special items perform incredibly useful functions, but it’s also nice to have a companion device that floats around your head and follows you around.

Genshin Impact 3.6 has just been released, so we’ll have to wait another five weeks or so until we see the feature added to the game.
