The first few Assassin’s Creed games on this Steam sale are good preparation for Mirage, which really should be a bit of an adventure, as I’m a fan of Origins and Odyssey; the latter, especially since floating around in ancient Greece fighting mythological creatures, talking to famous historians and politicians was the most fun I’ve ever had in a video game. You can also throw just about anyone off a cliff Spartan style, and it never gets old.
Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag is also an obvious choice if you want to replay it on PC or dive into a pirate adventure for the first time; then you too can dive into the bizarre sequel to Black Flag. It strikes a great balance between map size, amount of side content, and still manages to introduce naval combat and pirate mechanics in a way that feels fresh almost a decade later. Wait, how come Black Flag almost ten? Oh no.

There are also plenty of Harvest Moon games and other farming games included if you’ve had enough of Stardew Valley and want something different. I was surprised to see so many Worms games, with the 3D shenanigans of Worms Ultimate Mayhem opening up something in my brain that I thought I had missed.
