The recent Genshin Impact Kirara reveal puts Dendro ahead of Geo when it comes to character introductions. Kirara is Dendro’s ninth character in the anime game, while Geo only has eight, though Dendro has been playable for less than eight months and Geo has been available since launch. Genshin Impact version 3.6 will introduce Baizhu and Kawa, with Kirara coming soon after.
The last Geo character added to the roster was Yun Jin, a Liyue opera performer who appeared in 2.4 long before the first Dendro characters were released. It was January 2022, and we still don’t have the Geo symbol in the standard banner, a fact that becomes more and more important with each update.
In truth, it can be hard to see how the new character Geo would fit into the current strong team composition introduced in Sumeru, since the item can’t react with Dendro at all.
On a more positive note, at least, all of Dendro’s new characters seem to be particularly interesting. We have known Baizhu for some time and Kave has made a strong impression by her association with Alhaitam. We know the least about Kirara, but she’s the only catgirl we’ve seen besides Dione, which makes her inherently intriguing.
Official Genshin Impact Twitter account however, it did give us a little window into the character by mentioning that Kirara is a courier for an Inazuman delivery service. However, we still don’t know what weapon or rarity he has, as he will most likely appear in 3.7.
