The best gaming PC builds are the electronic draws, but now you can buy a Japanese juice box that looks good enough to drink. The pre-built systems come in three flavors, but my favorite option also has an Nvidia RTX 4090 processor and an Intel Core i9-13900KF on the ingredients list.
Fruit juices and gaming PC components are generally incompatible, and we recommend keeping sticky drinks away from expensive components. That said, there’s undoubtedly something delicious about a setup that looks like it’s drinkable, and putting the best GPU/CPU combo in a juice box is a surefire way to quench your thirst for higher frame rates.
Called the Desktop Juicebox, the new collection from Ironside Computers comes in three flavors: orange, peach, and blueberry. Instead of being literally filled with delicious liquid, each fruity design has different characteristics, so it could taste expensive. However, the citrus-themed build pairs the RTX 3060 with an ITX chassis and costs significantly less than its sweet siblings.
In case it wasn’t clear, the Cranberry Juice Box is my favorite, which means it’s the one mentioned above with powerful specs. Themed build internals will set you back $4,499.99, but other extras include 64GB of DDR5 RAM and a 2TB SSD that seem a bit too sweet for some.
The Peach Box takes a somewhat average approach to specs, but still packs the next-gen Lovelace GPU. Like the card featured in our Nvidia RTX 4070 Ti review, the integrated GPU has incredible DLSS capabilities, but even a lighter Lovelace-based configuration costs just under $3000.
When it comes to PC Ironside Fruit, it seems only fair to go back to aesthetics, as you’d be hard-pressed to find a similar system out of the box. The UV-printed body panels perfectly embody the kawaii atmosphere, which pays homage to Japanese culture and also evokes nostalgic feelings. That’s not to say my childhood juice boxes were decorated with the same flashy art, since my diet consisted mostly of Capri Sun and Ribena, but it still evokes memories of simpler times.
If you like the idea of a juicy gaming PC, you can choose all three flavors over Newegg. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to customize your style as each version comes with a specific list of specifications. It’s also worth noting that the Nvidia RTX 4070 could drop this week, so you might want to weigh your options as soon as it arrives. You’ll need to hurry though as the limited edition of the Ironside trio means they may have a short lifespan in terms of availability.
