Leaked benchmarks potentially confirmed future Nvidia RTX 4070 specs, including CUDA GPU core count and memory configuration. While the benchmark results do not accurately reflect the performance picture, the presentation confirms the existing rumors and the fact that a mid-range graphics card exists.
In theory, the Nvidia RTX 4070 should replace the 3070 on the battlefield with better graphics cards, as it will be more powerful and will support Nvidia DLSS 3. This last advantage alone should allow gamers to achieve frame rates superior to those of the previous 70 series. card, but the newcomer Lovelace will cost $100 more.
Noticed bank leaksThe Nvidia RTX 4070 leak in question comes in the form of early Geekbench results. The results seem to confirm that the card will feature 5888 CUDA cores, just like the RTX 3070, along with the same 12GB GDDR6X video memory as its Ti sister.
As mentioned above, the Geekbench results themselves are not entirely useful, since they are synthetic and based on an older version of the reference set. However, the RTX 4070 scored 202,437 on CUDA benchmarks and 177,594 on OpenCL, meaning it’s 25-30% faster on paper than the RTX 3070.
If you’ve been following the latest Nvidia RTX 4070 release date rumors, you know that the release of the latest Lovelace card is imminent. However, Nvidia has been known to change its mind at the last minute, so it’s best to hear from the hardware horse before you get too excited.
Of course, you can go for a GeForce card like the one featured in our Nvidia RTX 4070 Ti review if you’re not too concerned about price. Our tests concluded that this is an amazing card with great DLSS 3 capabilities, but it’s not exactly what we’d expect from a 70-series card.
