A GTA 5 RP provider has shut down its dedicated Arabic server after a Twitch player was forced to remove his rainbow cosmetics from the game due to his ties to the LGBTQI+ community. NoPixel, the GTA 5 server popular among streamers, has released a statement explaining that its Arabic version will be shut down immediately. The Arab NoPixel administration also commented on the termination of the server.

Dantexstar, a Twitch streamer from Istanbul, broadcast himself playing GTA 5 on the Arabic server NoPixel, wearing an in-game avatar with rainbow bracelets on each wrist. During the broadcast, Dantexstar received a direct message from NoPixel’s Arabic admin Zeeedo asking them to remove their clothing as it is “strictly prohibited”.

In an article supposedly posted on the Arabic discord NoPixel, Zeeedo explains the server policy. “As everyone knows, most of the Arab countries [sic] they are Muslims, so openly supporting the LGBTQ community fundamentally goes against our religious beliefs and our culture,” the admin says in a later-deleted post that was recorded and posted on Reddit dedicated to Grand Theft fans. Car. “We cannot tolerate any LGBTQ activity in and out of RPG related to NoPixel Arabic.”

In response to NoPixel’s core Discord server, a message was posted stating that Arabic NoPixel is permanently closed.

“After extensive internal discussions between NoPixel management, we have decided to part ways and end any future association with NoPixel Arab,” writes NoPixel Discord admin “Hon”. “While NoPixel Arab has been willing to compromise and make concessions, we personally believe that it is in our community’s interest to finish it entirely.”

NoPixel says it will refund all GTA 5 players who have spent money on the NoPixel Arabic server. Arab NoPixel has since issued its own statement in response to the server shutdown.

“Arab NoPixel has been officially closed from the main administration due to the ban on gay freedom within the server,” another server administrator wrote. “I’m sorry for all my apologies to you [sic] my brothers. I expected a society that would include all Arab countries, so this would be the first Arab society that would include all Arabs from different countries.

“My apologies belong to everyone in the community. We just wanted to entertain you and make you happy in an Arab community by creating a suitable environment for everyone.

As a practicing Muslim and Grand Theft Auto player, this reporter finds it hypocritical that NoPixel’s Arab management has focused on using LGBTQI+-themed cosmetics as clearly anti-Islamic, given that the GTA allows simulations of murder, drug dealing, and gambling. and a host of other activities that are illegal and contrary to Islamic moral teachings.

Therefore, the response from the Arab NoPixel does not appear to be motivated by adherence to Islam, but by an implicit anti-LGBTQI+ bias. The British and American charity Hidayah aims to address discrimination based on sexuality and identity within the Muslim community.

PCGamesN has reached out to the admins at Dantexstar and NoPixel for comment and will update this story with any additional information.
