The Genshin Impact version 3.6 update will bring a new floating companion device that appears to be a distant relative of Endora. And for those who don’t know, Endora is basically a mini version of the Oceanids world boss in Genshin Impact, and was given away as part of the Wishful Drops event in version 1.4. According to recent leaks, another similar gadget friend will appear in the next update of the anime game.

HoYoverse expands the Sumeru map again, adding a new desert piece. The expansion seems to be tied to a new quest, so he should be able to add this new companion to his growing list of gadgets.

If the leaked information is correct, you must be at least Adventure Rank 20 to start the quest and it cannot be skipped via the quick start feature that appears for limited time events. As such, this is likely HoYoverse’s thinly disguised way of having players explore a new desert area.

It looks like you don’t have to complete the quest to get the device, but you will get Primogems, leveling books, and ascension materials.

The leak comes visit on Twitter, who also shared an image of the event menu for Genshin Impact version 3.6. In this one, you can see that the pink companion looks a bit like the Pyro version of Endora, pictured below:

While the process for getting a new gadget is similar to the Endora Wishful Drops event, you must first use the gadget in certain activities before it becomes a permanent companion.
