But how do you enter Minecraft commands? Fortunately, Minecraft console commands are surprisingly easy to use. they are as easy as entering minecraft seeds. When creating a new Minecraft world, you will be prompted to allow or deny the use of cheats. Once you’ve selected “yes” and loaded the world, you’ll need to press the “C” key to bring up the command bar, where you’ll enter all your cheats and commands.

Minecraft console commands and cheats

Here are all the Minecraft console commands you can use to change the game in an instant:

  • Target Selection Shortcuts: Target selector variables define a specific target without entering its full name. Above are five different shorthand commands. You will get used to seeing them play on the best Minecraft servers.

    • @p – nearest player
    • @r – random player
    • @to all players
    • @e – all entities
    • @s is the object that executes the command
  • Help /help [CommandName] (provides additional information about this command).
  • donation/give [Amount] (Used to give another player an item from your inventory. Example: /give PCGamesN minecraft:planks 13. This will give PCGamesN 13 spruce planks. This command is much simpler when giving unique items, but useful for stackable items ).
  • teleportation/tp [TargetPlayer] X and Z (Used to instantly move yourself or another player to a specific location. Entering another player’s name instead of coordinates will take the target directly to the specified player’s location. You can also teleport to a new world with the best maps of Minecraft).
  • Murder/murder (this code instantly kills your character; adding another player’s name will apply the command to it).
  • Time/time Type of time (allows you to choose the weather or your world. Your weather options include rain, thunder and snow)

Minecraft Console Controls: Wearing diamond boots, a golden helmet, and a fishing rod, Steve uses Allays to collect ender pearls while listening to his music box.  The Ender Dragon attacks from above.

  • creative fashion/gamemode declaration (changes the game mode to creative, which allows the player to fly, unlimited resources, and prevents monsters from attacking.)
  • survival mode/survival in game mode (changes the game mode to survival mode, which means you will be attacked by monsters and you have to collect all the resources the old fashioned way).
  • set time/set time 1000 (Defines day. Replace “1000” with “0” for sunrise, “6000” for noon, “12000” for sunset, and “18000” for night.)
  • Change the difficulty to peaceful /just peaceful (Change the difficulty to “Peaceful Mode”. Change “Peaceful” to “Easy”, “Normal” or “Hard” to make it harder.)
  • How to find your world start code/seed (this will generate code for your world, write it so you can upload identical code in the future).
  • Save your inventory when you die /gamerule keepInventory is true (Make sure you don’t lose your items when you die. To undo this, type “false” instead of “true”).
  • time to stop/gamerule doDaylightCycle false (this will stop the game’s day/light cycle in place, allowing it to live in constant sunlight or moonlight. To restart the day/light cycle, type /gamerule doDaylightCycle true).
  • convene /call (Instantly throws the desired creature or item into your world, which is especially useful when you don’t have enough ocelots as pets.)
  • Atlantis Fashion /Atlantis (significantly increases the water level in the world, flooding all but the highest mountains).
  • Drive /drive (transforms the found creature into a mount).
  • instant mine /instantmine (one-click removal by any tool).

  • Freeze/freeze (stops the crowds in their tracks).
  • fall damage /fall damage (turns fall damage on and off).
  • Fire damage – /fire damage (turns fire damage on and off).
  • water damage /water damage (turns water damage on and off).
  • cast item /overheat (transforms all objects into a molten shape.
  • instant plant /instant plant (no more waiting for the planted seed to germinate).
  • shop items/dropstore (Store all inventory items in a chest that spawns nearby.)
  • item damage /damage (Weapons no longer take damage or degrade.)
  • Double /double (copy and discard the stack of items you have equipped).

How to enter console commands in minecraft

You will need to prefix any command you enter in solo mode with a forward slash (/); multiplayer commands will not work with this prefix. Now all you have to do is type the desired command and hit the Enter key.
