Following the success of the first two games, developer Red Barrels has revealed exactly when they can work together to try and survive Murkoff’s Trials.
The Outlast Trials is the third game in the Outlast series in which you control “human guinea pigs unknowingly recruited by the kind folks at Murkoff Corporation to test advanced brainwashing and mind control techniques.” Unlike previous games, The Outlast Trials features more distinctive RPG elements with a variety of classes offering different abilities to help you and your teammates survive.
These abilities include the ability to see nearby enemies through walls, heal allies, plant mines that can blind enemies, and throw an electroshock device that can distract your enemies. Don’t wait for Left 4 Dead though; At its core, it’s still a survival game, and stealth and evasion are your most important tools. If you don’t like playing with others, Red Barrels says that players can still experience it alone, though the game is definitely designed with cooperative play in mind.
The Outlast Trials release date is May 18 on Steam and Epic. The game will initially be released in Early Access, which means that you can expect additional features to be released over time after the game launches. characters shouting and gurgling with wonderful enthusiasm.
