To receive this quest, you must first unlock the Destiny 2 Strand subclass, including all skins and shards. Since each Shard costs 300 Strand Meditations, unlocking it is a challenge in itself. You can earn Strand Meditations by doing activities around Neomuna using the Strand. However, once you have unlocked all the skins, shards, and abilities, you will be given a quest at Poke’s Pond. So the steps are:

  1. Visit Nimbus at Strider’s Gate.
  2. Find Strand-infected devices in Veil Containment.
  3. Defeat the marauding Shadow Legion and read their orders to find out where they found their finds.
  4. Find the Veil Spectrometer on the Typhoon Imperator.
  5. Head over to Poke’s Pond in the Hall of Heroes.
  6. Complete the Osiris training program in less than 5 minutes and 30 seconds to reconnect to the Veol spectrometer.
  7. Visit Pouka’s Pond to complete the Strand weapon.

Here’s a breakdown of how to complete The Last Strand quest in Destiny 2 Lightfall.

Visit the Nimbus at Strider’s Gate

This is the first step to complete the quest and it is easy as you will be given further instructions.

Find infected Strand devices

Find this location by following the quest marker. You will see it on the left side of the Neomunas destination map. Follow the beacons until you reach a portal that will take you to the fortress. Fight against enemies and advance.

Defeat the Shadow Legion Marauders

You will then come across the Shadow Legion Marauders, highlighted to indicate that you must defeat them to complete the quest. Defeat the Colossus, which will give you the necessary orders to advance in the mission. Pick them up and go to the next step.

Get a Veil Spectrometer

Fast travel to Strider’s Gate or Laiming Harbor towards Ahimsa Park, then make your way to Calus’s flagship. You must then defeat the torturer to complete this stage.

Return to Puka Pond

Fast travel to the Hall of Heroes and go back to meditating by the pond.

Complete the Osiris training program.
