The recent Genshin Impact animated short Dehya encouraged Chinese gamers to donate thousands of dollars to one of the country’s charities for underprivileged children. In the trailer for the anime game, we see Dehya making a massive donation to help the orphans of the Sumeru desert leave behind the harsh environment they were born into. Actual donations from players go to the Chinese charity Project of Hope, which is a student aid project aimed at improving the cost of education and living for children.
Since Genshin Impact is a Chinese game, fans think it’s no coincidence that Dehya named his charity “Wall of Hope” when the “Project Hope” charity actually exists and both support children in a way. or other.
In the animated short, Dehya uses an amount of blackberry, described as “his life savings”, to start a charity in the city of Sumeru just after saving a boy from desert sandstorms. This all sounds like something of a positive call to action, especially if he’s familiar with Project Hope.
Thousands of Chinese players donated 680 yuan (GBP) £$80/$98) per coin – Link to the maximum amount you can pay to top up your Genshin Genesis Crystals up to 6480 in China via in-game microtransactions.
Along with their donations, they also leave messages on the Hope Project website saying “Dehya Hope Wall”. This, along with Dehya’s quote about Samiel Sumeru’s wall separating the desert from the city itself: “This wall was never intended to protect against anything. It was to protect himself.
Dehya is in fact of great importance to children both in Sumeru and beyond. It’s great to see that a single short preview had such a big impact.
Genshin Impact version 3.5 was released in less than 24 hours, so you’ll soon be able to play Dehyu and Cino in the first half of the update.
