Looking at Beneath, the new Steam horror game from developer Camel 101, feels like a checklist of some of the best survival and shooter games of the last 20 years. Fast-paced, gruesome shooter is definitely reminiscent of FEAR, while the general setting and focus on sanity seems to have been borrowed from Resident Evil and Amnesia.
As such, Beneath feels like a combination of some of the best classic horror and FPS games on PC. If you can list it right now on Steam, the release date is tentatively set for 2024. If you like good horror and even the best action movie, Beneath is definitely worth a look.
